Does wax block UV? Today we re-visit my UV testing methods and see if a new approach to testing tells us more about how waxes block UV light. In our new test I pit Chemical Guys Jet Seal against our new testing gear. I utilize a BPI Perfect Vision UV/Photometer III and a Linshang LS162 Transmission Meter to see how much protection our tested wax provides. I then tested all the products from my prior videos. The uv blocking results may shock you!
The 3.0T V6 engine in the Audi S4 and Audi S5 (B9 chassis) has one of the easiest oil change procedures. With a few tools anyone can change the oil on their 2017-2022 Audi S4 in minutes while saving money and avoiding long dealership waits. Using the Mityvac 7201 or a similar pump means no more jack stands, ramps, and definitely no messes. Just pop the hood open and 15 minutes later you're done!
I've picked up a 2018 Audi S4 (B9 chassis) earlier this month. One of the first things I want to do is apply a ceramic coating. Today we're going to test Lithium's claim of protecting from heat with a heat gun and infrared thermometer. Today it's time to swap the intake filter and cabin air filter in my 2019 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate. This should also work for newer models and Chevrolet Silverado with the 6.2L engine. The process is quite simple and anyone with basic hand tools could do it in minutes not hours. No reason to get ripped off at the dealer :)!
My friend Sanjin who I shared the last off-road-ish adventure with in the Texas Hill Country invited me out to Marble Falls Adventure Park near Austin, TX to try out his Jeep. He's really gotten into off-roading as a serious hobby, he's a full blown car guy now with a beautiful build. We also met some of his friends along the way. Hidden falls is a great piece of private land that has a myriad of trails and obstacles. I had an opportunity to do some driving myself and get stuck a few times. We wound up causing a little damage to my friend's jeep, but nothing that's going to prevent a future adventure.
