MJJC Foam Cannon Pro vs. Obecome Foam Lance
Today we test out the foam cannon (sometimes called foam lance) from MJJC. They have been kind enough to provide me with a free sample of their MJJC Foam Cannon Pro. We are going to compare build quality between the two foam guns, the ergonomics and go and test their foam production. We'll use the Adam's polishes original blue shampoo for our test and my Greenworks 2000 PSI electric pressure washer.
2019 GMC Sierra Borla ProXS Muffler
The 2019-2022+ GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado 6.2L trucks are nearly silent. This is thanks to dual valves that block up way too much of the exhaust in an effort to muffle the V8 roar. I'm going to fix that with a Borla ProXS 40359 muffler. I'll cut off these ridiculous flapper valves (adaptive valves) and make it sound like a nice V8 again! Who wants a V8 with no rumble? Not me! Any reputable muffler shop should be able to help with this fix if you can't DIY it.
Wax Slickness Testing - Coefficient of Friction
Today I'm introducing the second new forensic wax test which will be used for all future testing. We're going to be using the static coefficient of friction to determine the actual empirical change in slickness waxes, coatings and sealants provide. This testing removes our dependence on subjective slickness testing I used to perform using my hand and brain in the past.
Do waxes have UV protection?
Waxing my car to protect paint from UV damage has been something I've done unquestioningly. I always believed coatings and sealants provided excellent UV protection and kept my paint from fading over the years from ultraviolet radiation. I have put together a test using a UVA and UVB light with cyanotype paper. I will perform this test as part of my future wax testing videos to determine just how much UV protection a particular wax provides. I also tested a spray on SPF 70 sunscreen and clear coat paint to see how they compared to waxes, ceramic coatings, and sealants. The results of my testing and purpose of paint protection products may surprise you!
GMC Sierra Scratched Tail Light Fix!
A few weekends ago I scratched up my truck's tail light hauling tree branches. Today I show you how to fix scratches and scuffs on tail lights with minimal effort. A scuffed brake light is a lot easier to restore than foggy headlights due to the robust plastic that isn't scared of UV. With the right tools it's truly one of simplest DIY jobs for a detailing enthusiast!
Best car shampoo for biggest foam?
Adam's Polishes has three shampoos on the market; Their original Adam's Car Shampoo which is the basic one, Adam's Ultra Foam which is supposed to be a step up for foam guns and cannons, and their new Adam's Mega Foam which is supposed to make the best foam gun and foam lance foam. I've used Adam's Car Shampoo for years and it is what I use in all my wax tests. However, is it the best for making big foam and is it the safest on wax? Is it really pH neutral? We find out in today's testing!
