I've used radar detectors since high school. Initially I didn't know much, but eventually started hard wiring nice detectors in all my daily vehicles. I also got into dash cams because of the crazy stuff I see sometimes while driving around. When I got my 2017 Audi A4 Quattro I wasn't sure what the best way to hard wire was. I was getting super annoyed with cords tangling again and finally took the time to figure it out. It really wasn't that hard.
For the next 700 miles I had fun breaking in the ProCharger and getting used to the amazing power output of this blown 5.0L V8. I also picked up some jacking rails, a chassis brace and shifter brace. It was a pretty easy install.
Having finished the install I was ready to hit the rollers for a ProCharged Mustang dyno morning. I was hoping to make over 600whp from the stage 2 kit. Some guys were getting over 650whp, and I ended up running a bit of race fuel. First I had to test the car though.
I decided it was time to make some serious changes. To start off we need to get some boost. This holiday weekend I’m going to be adding 10PSI during my stage 2 mustang procharger install! It’s all about maximum performance and handling from here on out.
The Performance Pack didn’t get a spoiler, Ford deletes it from the car if you order this package. Why do they do this? I’ve never heard a concrete answer, but people’s guesses range from wind tunnel testing to conspiracy theories. Personally, I think Ford figured a performance package buyer would possibly want a blank slate.
I waited for MMD’s V-Series Grilles to come out. They were the best looking mustang grilles out of all the models on the market at the time. I was very excited about the install, but dreading taking off the front fascia.
I spent time getting used to the car and completing the break-in process. After the oil change I started to become to experience the classic mustang wheel hop the new S550 IRS suffers from.
Having completed the exhaust install I started to enjoy the car on the road. I was practicing my heel-toe and just having fun while the engine broke in. I also started itching for more mods and the lack of mustang led lights was a problem, incandescent lighting sucks!
I picked my Mustang up in February of 2016. A brand-new ’16 Oxford White Mustang in GT PP trim. My plan is to race this car so I skipped on the luxury features such as navigation and premium audio, but went for every performance option. On my way home I had a lot of fun.
