Smelly Fuel Hose, New Tires & Parking Lines

Having finished installing the Fore Innovations Fuel System I found that I had a really strong gasoline smell from the Eaton Startlite hose that I was recommended. I ended up replacing those for a very similar hose, which no longer smelled. I also show you some new wheels, sticky tires and we paint some parking lines for my lift!

Installing Fore Innovations Fuel System 2016 Mustang GT

In my quest for performance I’ve had to deal with the limited fueling capacity of the stock 2016 Mustang GT return-less fuel system. This meant I was running the JMS BAP (Boost-A-Pump) voltage booster to get more out of what Ford gave us. Unfortunately I do not trust this kind of setup, there is some precedent for catastrophic failures, not to mention performance limitations for the future. I decided it was time to purchase and install a traditional return style fuel system and picked Fore Innovations for their reputation and how high quality all the components appeared.

Corsa Headers for S550 GT Mustang Installed

It’s always been the plan to get long tube stainless steel headers for my S550 Ford Mustang. There are many different choices for this platform, but Corsa headers really jumped out at me when I was shopping. It’s no surprise, because Corsa Performance has traditionally made terrific exhaust cat-back systems, some of the best ever. I have had them on several vehicles including my Mustang which is equipped with the Corsa Xtreme 3″ Cat-Back. This is a new product line for Corsa and it’s exciting to see them expand into headers.

Project: Dream Garage Part 4 & 5

This is likely to be a wrap for Project: Dream Garage series of posts for a while. I will definitely make more minor and major upgrades to my garage such as flooring and various tools. Until then be on the lookout for more car and welding related projects!

Saber Cabinets & 12V Fuel Transfer Pump

I'm so excited to get my Saber Cabinets which I ordered from the Obsessed Garage store. I knew I wanted these cabinets ever since I saw them for the first time. They are just a great spot for price, quality and subjectively looks. I also purchased a GasTapper 12V MAX fuel transfer pump. This handy pump makes refueling my Mustang with race gas so easy!

ProCharger Bypass Valve Sound

I shot a quick video of what the bypass valve sounds like on my 2016 Mustang GT. This puppy is supercharged with the ProCharger Stage 2 kit. This audio was a blend of a mic on the intake and a mic inside the car. This represents a lot of what it sounds like revving on the ground at a light.

Project: Dream Garage Part 3

The first phase of my garage build is over. The guys from Tool Time Home Improvement got done with the sheetrock, lighting, AC, etc… Everything came out pretty great with just some minor touch up left. Now I’m working on all the big ticket items and final touches including flooring, 2-post lift, tool chests, cabinets, etc…

Project: Dream Garage Part 1 & Part 2

Ever since I bought the house I’ve wanted to remodel my garage. I didn’t like the back storage rooms the prior owner put in, they took away a lot from the floor space. I also hated the paint job, lighting and generally poor way in which the space was finished. There wasn’t sheet rock over most of the ceiling and no insulation!

Temporary Portable AC For My Garage & More TIG Practice

I got some portable air conditioners installed in the garage as a temporary cooling solution. They are LG 14,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner units. I bought three of them, together they’re supposed to provide 3.5 tons of cooling, 12,000 BTUs is a ton so 42,000 BTUs makes 3.5 tons. I think I will ultimately get mini splits installed, but for now this will do. I also practiced TIG welding 1/16″ mild steel tubing. This stuff is so thin and easy to blow a hole in!
