Trackspec Motorsports Heat Extractor Louvers
My supercharge mustang generates a LOT of heat under the hood. It's time to let this thing breathe by allowing clean air to pass through the radiator, reducing coolant temperatures, and flowing out of the hood relieving some of the built up heat! The difference is pretty huge and the install is quite easy. I think anyone could do this themselves if you're careful.
Supercharged Mustang Pedders Coilovers & Sway Bars
Today I installed the Pedders Coilovers and Sway Bars kit for my 2016 Mustang GT. This kit provides a nice drop and an improvement in performance. As I understand BC makes the actual shocks for Pedders. Both are brands with experience in racing and street performance. I found this to be a moderate to challenging job depending on your experience with mods and working on cars. If you have a well equipped shop this is definitely doable yourself. On jack stands in a small garage or driveway it may be a bit hard to do.
Mustang APR Chin Splitter & Ford Performance Tow Hook
Today we're going to be installing an APR Carbon Fiber Chin Splitter and a Ford Performance Tow Hook on my 2016 Mustang GT that is ProCharged and being setup for track road racing use. The purpose of the splitter is both cosmetic and aerodynamic. The splitter should help create clean air in front of the car. The tow hook is just a good idea, and yes it connects to the frame of the car. It's not just hanging off the body work like some people assume!
Smelly Fuel Hose, New Tires & Parking Lines
Having finished installing the Fore Innovations Fuel System I found that I had a really strong gasoline smell from the Eaton Startlite hose that I was recommended. I ended up replacing those for a very similar hose, which no longer smelled. I also show you some new wheels, sticky tires and we paint some parking lines for my lift!
Installing Fore Innovations Fuel System 2016 Mustang GT
In my quest for performance I’ve had to deal with the limited fueling capacity of the stock 2016 Mustang GT return-less fuel system. This meant I was running the JMS BAP (Boost-A-Pump) voltage booster to get more out of what Ford gave us. Unfortunately I do not trust this kind of setup, there is some precedent for catastrophic failures, not to mention performance limitations for the future. I decided it was time to purchase and install a traditional return style fuel system and picked Fore Innovations for their reputation and how high quality all the components appeared.
Corsa Headers for S550 GT Mustang Installed
It’s always been the plan to get long tube stainless steel headers for my S550 Ford Mustang. There are many different choices for this platform, but Corsa headers really jumped out at me when I was shopping. It’s no surprise, because Corsa Performance has traditionally made terrific exhaust cat-back systems, some of the best ever. I have had them on several vehicles including my Mustang which is equipped with the Corsa Xtreme 3″ Cat-Back. This is a new product line for Corsa and it’s exciting to see them expand into headers.
Steeda G-Trac Brace, Jacking Rails and Blowfish Racing Shifter Brace
For the next 700 miles I had fun breaking in the ProCharger and getting used to the amazing power output of this blown 5.0L V8. I also picked up some jacking rails, a chassis brace and shifter brace. It was a pretty easy install.
